Library Facility



The library at RCA are more like integrated Knowledge Resource Centres which are stocked with over 5,000 books, periodicals, national and international journals and CD-ROMs covering all aspects of academic studies and research material.

Our specialist staff will always be there to help you with quick references Latest software like Python, Java, SQL etc. are used to enable work on data analysis web technologies and software designing Training grounds for building professionals.

The textbooks from the Library are loaned out for one year to the students whose parent's income falls below the taxable limit. Eligible students may apply for books from the Library as per the schedule announced by the Library. Students are invited to give their suggestions for keeping this collection updated on regular basis.

Study Room Books

  • Textbooks recommended by the concerned faculty members for different courses are kept in the study room collection at the circulation counter for the period specified by the faculty. These books can be used in the library against Identity Card. Only one book can be issued to a student against Identity Card, for an overnight, to be returned after 10 days by 12 p.m. A late fee of Rs. 5.00 per day is charged for overdue books .
Reference Service
  • The Library maintains a separate reference collection consisting of encyclopedias, dictionaries, directories, handbooks, technical data, atlases, bibliographies and CD -ROMs library card also provided to every student etc. Reference books are marked "R" and Rare Reference are marked "RR". The collection marked "RR" are kept under lock and key.
  • The Reference Section also houses videos and DVDs. The viewing facility is extended to the students, staff and faculty of the Institute from 9.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. on all working days.
  • Readers may approach the Reference Desk for information or any assistance in the use of the Library Collections and Services. Users may also contact the Reference Division for CD ROM-based search services and web-based services.
Users Awareness Programmes

The library takes an active part in the orientation programme organized by the institute for the benefit of new students in the beginning of academic year. They are taken around the library to familiarize them with various resources and services available for them. Training sessions are also organized whenever a new product or service is introduced.
